Sarah Palin’s Facebook success leaves irrelevant mainstream media jealous, angry

Sarah in White in Lancaster PAPolitico.com’s current article “Sarah Palin emerges as Facebook phenom” is worth reading as a companion piece to Post-Partisan Examiner’s original examination of this curious development, “Prelude to 2012: how did Demcorats let Sarah Palin destroy health care reform with Facebook?”

The piece shows politicos marveling over the way Sarah Palin has used Facebook as an end around to break through the sexist anti-Palin bias of the mainstream media – keeping her name in the spotlight, speaking directly to constituents, and even hijacking the debate over health care reform with her “death panel” meme.

The article also indicates that members of the media glitterati are also a little bit salty because The Creature That Came from Wasilla does not need them anymore.

The rise of social media means she can now sell her self, her policies, and her ideas without their interference — to the detriment of the powerful men who used to control the national conversation:

Patriots, it’s time to fire up the engine…

"I join commonsense conservatives in endorsing Richard Mourdock to be the next Senator from Indiana. Conservatives of all stripes are uniting behind Richard Mourdock. It’s not just Indiana that benefits from sending the right Senator to serve for the right reasons; the nation as a whole benefits, and that is one reason why the eyes of so many around the nation are focused on the Indiana race."
